beyonce american idolBeyonce on the American Idol finale, Cheryl Cole replaced on X-Factor and The Hangover 2 hits theaters.

Happy Thursday! Today, we’re discussing last night’s American Idol finale, where Beyonce premiered her new hit, “1+1!” We’ll also discuss allegations that Cheryl Cole has been replaced on Simon Cowell’s X-Factor, which could spell trouble for the show. Finally, we’ll talk about the two big sequel movies that are being released today (Can you guess what they are?)

Last night’s American Idol finale was phenomenally big. Lady Gaga was only one of many major performers- Beyonce also took the stage, performing her new single, “1+1”…based on the crowd’s reaction, the song is already a hit! Judge Steven Tyler also performed on the show, as well as fellow judge Jennifer Lopez, who performed with hubby Marc Anthony. But this isn’t all! Judas Priest also took the stage, as well as Tim McGraw, TLC, Lil Jon, Jack Black, Tom Jones…Tony Bennett performed a song with Haley Reinhart, to boot! What was your favorite highlight of last night’s show? Were you happy when Scotty McCreery won? (Many were expecting Lauren Alaina to take the crown…)

TMZ alleges that Cheryl Cole has been sacked by X-Factor, and that she will no longer be a judge on the show. According to the gossip site, this was due “largely because producers were concerned her thick Newcastle English accent would be too difficult for an American audience to understand.” Cheryl Cole had made a really big to-do about going on the show, so I can only imagine how awkward it was to let her go. What do you think, can you understand Cole’s British accent?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that two major movies will see a Hollywood release, today- The Hangover 2, and Kung Fu Panda 2! These sequels are expected to rake in a lot of money, as their predecessors were so successful. Kung Fu Panda 2 features the voices of Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, and Dustin Hoffman. The PG film follows lovable panda, Po, as he goes head to head with a nefarious peacock. The Hangover 2 stars the 3 guys (Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis) inThailand, where they are once again celebrating and getting into lots of trouble! Which one of these films do you think will be a bigger hit? Let us know in the comments!
